The full form of QA is Quality Assurance. It is a process that ensures that a product meets consumer expectations in terms of quality, design, reliability and performance. The aim of quality assurance is to prevent defects and mistakes in the production of products. In quality assurance, there are two principles: “fit for purpose” (the product must fulfill its proposed purpose); and “right the first time” (mistakes must be corrected immediately). Delivering products and services to customers in a timely manner and preventing problems and delays is what ISO 9000 defines as “a part of quality management aimed at providing assurance that quality requirements will be met”.
